The DAVE Project

So, big things are in progress with DAVE. Today we overnight mailed our application to become a 501c3 non-profit organization, which we should hear back about in around 3 months. If and when we become 501c3, it means we’ll be eligible for government funding. Keep your fingers crossed for good news! 

Also, we’ve officially signed our good friend Kristina Perkins on as our grant writer! That means KP will be scouring the vast reaches of the internet to find government and private grants that are in line with our mission and get us some funding. Hopefully KP will be scoring us some big cash! We’ll be sure to keep you updated with the progress in that field.

Third on the exciting horizon, Alyssa’s cousin Julie has been slaving away at an awesome logo for us, and will be going to town on our OFFICIAL WEBSITE very soon! AWESOME!!

Finally, just like we had said in our last post, we’re looking to make an informative/inspirational video about our mission and why you all think music and performing arts education is important. We have a fancy-shmancy HD camcorder, and we want to hear what YOU GUYS and your adorable little ones have to say about how awesome music and performing is. Know anyone famous? AWESOME! Send them along!
