The DAVE Project’s First Benefit Cabaret
The DAVE Project is proud to announce our very first event, which will be a cabaret benefit on July 10th at 8PM at the Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, RI! This is going to be a very exciting event, where we will be able to show you the caliber of talent we have supporting our project! We are currently expecting to have 12 professional performers from New York City and also some familiar local faces performing a variety of numbers with a full band! There will be hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, and it should be a fun night out to support Rhode Island Performing Arts education and meet other local arts supporters! There will be a suggested donation at the door of $25.00, but for now, please just respond to reserve your seat, as spots are limited.
Parents, please keep in mind that there may be some profanity in the songs, and liquor will be served, making this a “PG” rated event. Please use your discretion as to whether your children are of an apporpriate age to be at such an event.
Also if you know any middle to high-school age kids who are interested in the performing arts, we will be hosting a theatre workshop on July 10th at 10 am, also at the Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, where the professional performers from our cabaret will work with the kids on a variety of exercises, culminating in an impromptu performance at 3PM for family & friends! Come see what these kids can do in just 5 hours! This workshop is for serious participants only and the fee is $10 per student, to help cover the travel expenses of our visiting performers.
Finally, some of Dave’s Phi Kappa Psi brothers will be hosting a beer & wine tasting event with a silent auction in Smithfield, RI in mid-September. More information coming soon!
Please email your RSVP for the cabaret and/or the workshop to DAVEartsproject@gmail.com, along with the number of seats you would like reserved. Don’t forget, or else we may not have enough seats for everyone! Please also note that this will be a nice evening, and please dress appropriately (i.e. no hats, sneakers, t-shirts, ripped jeans, etc.). Spread the word, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
