The DAVE Project

So, now that the chaos from our first cabaret has receded, it’s time to BLOG! How did it go? Very well indeed! We started off the day with our youth workshop, where we had eight participants who worked with us for five hours on acting techniques, vocal techniques, warmups… you name it! We even taught them “Flesh Failures,” which was the finale of our cabaret that evening, and invited them to join in with us if they were able to attend! Then we had almost an hour of 1-on-1 coaching time, where we worked with the kids on monologues, which they performed for all of us. It was a lot of fun, and everyone learned some great stuff (kids AND instructors). Saturday night, we had somewhere in the ballpark of 300 guests, 8 different artists showcasing some of their work, and a darn good time! We managed to raise over $13,000 for The DAVE Project! The support was just unreal!
